Four people were arrested by Police from different parts of the capital ‘for attempting to murder’ Bangla blogger Asif Mohiuddin, reports The Daily Star
The Online activist came under attack on January 13 in the city’s Uttara area.
The arrestees are–Saad-al-Nahin, 24, an evening shift MBA student of Dhaka University from Kishoreganj; Kawsar Ahmed, 26, a vendor from Bhola; Kamal Uddin, 23,  a carpenter from Noakhali; and Kamal Hossain, 28, a security guard of Mutual Trust Bank from Barisal.
The arrestees are members of Ansarullah Bengali Team, a newly-launched militant organisation, said Moshiur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner (South) of DB.

The law enforcers in overnight drives arrested the four religious extremists at Mirpur, Jatrabari and Dhaka University campus areas, said Nazrul Islam Mollah, deputy commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of police.
Their identities were revealed during a press briefing held around noon at Media Centre of the DMP (Dhaka Metropolitan Police).
Referring to the DB officials the Daily Star reports that Police also recovered several books on Jihad, martial arts clothing and fake BBA certificates from their possession. The same group had masterminded the killing of blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider on February 15, Moshiur added.
Rajib was one of the online activists who organised a demonstration in the capital’s Shahbagh intersection, popularly known as Projonmo Chattar, on February 5 – hours after a war crimes tribunal awarded lifetime imprisonment to Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Mollah.
The demonstration eventually spread across the country even in abroad demanding death penalty for the war criminals.
